Dessert Plate
Dessert Plate-The dessert plate is the smaller size plate and will be found in sizes ranging from 6" to 8". Dessert plates are also called luncheon plates by some manufacturers and are now being produced in square and shaped designs. Disposable dessert plates are manufacturered in both pressboard paper and injected or thermoformed plastic (please refer to injection molded and thermoform for additional information). Dessert plates are popular where finger foods, appetizers and hoerdourves are served. Dessert plates are also popular at wedding receptions, birthday parties and events where smaller single servings (like cake) are offered. Luncheon plates generally measure 8" and are a used predominately at luncheons where light, finger food is served. You will find many floral and general entertaining prints in this size.
