Banquet Plate
Banquet plates measure 10.25" to 11" and are manufactured in both press board paper and injected or thermo-formed plastic. Banquet plates are generally used for sit down and more formal affairs. These plates are the largest used in formal party dining, the smallest being the dessert plate.
Banquet plates are popular in floral and general entertaining prints as well as solid colors. The strength of a disposable plate comes from the rim and depth of the plate. Generally the deeper the dish the more strength and holding power. An important consideration when shopping for banquet plates is the type of food you will be serving. For heavier servings we suggest plastic for both strength and cut resistance.
