Dinner Plates
Dinner plates measure 8.75" to 9". In the line of tableware plates, the dinner plate is the next to largest plate behind the banquet plate. Disposable dinner plates are manufactured in both press board paper and thermo-formed plastic. Dinner plates are popular for birthday parties and informal gatherings where just a few entrees are being served. Dinner plates are also great for portion control in buffet and serving lines.
Almost all patterns that include tableware will include a dinner plate. Dinner and dessert plates are common at pretty much any party. For larger, more formal events, you may want to invest in banquet plates for the party. Unfortunately, banquet plates do not come with many themed patterns, but they are available in nearly any color so you can at least accent your party colors even if you cannot use a similar patterned plate.
Unlike napkins and some other party necessities that you use on the table, you can usually figure on 1-2 plates per guest due to misplaced plates, and plates that are accidentally thrown in the garbage. You can figure 3 plates per person in you want to be really safe, but unlike dessert plates, dinner plates are usually more stationary. People walk around with dessert plates during the party, but rarely do people walk around with dinner plates.
Do the math and find out whether individual or bulk quantities of these party supplies will be a better fit for your event. Each warehouse has a few color variations so you can find the perfect color to make your party look just right.
