Mylar Balloons - Mylar balloons are also known as foil or metallic balloons. The balloon is constructed of mylar which is a durable metallic material that has a degree of stretch built in. The metallic balloon is generally filled with helium which allows it to float. Manufacturers have almost perfected the art of producing mylar balloons and the designs, sizes and shapes are incredible. Mylar balloons will contract in cold temperatures but will regain their shape when brought back into a warm environment. The most popular size mylar balloon is the 18" round shape. Mylar balloons are one of the most versatile party supplies available.
